Privacy Policy

Overview

VybeCoding ("the App") is an SSH terminal client for iOS developed by SOBYTES LTD ("we", "us"). We respect your privacy and have designed the App to minimise data collection. This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal information or create user accounts.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell or share data with third parties.

Data That Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us:

• Server credentials — hostnames, usernames, passwords, and SSH keys are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
• Speech recognition — voice input is processed on-device using Apple Speech Recognition. Audio is never sent to our servers.
• Terminal sessions — all SSH, VNC, and SFTP connections are made directly between your device and your servers. We do not proxy, intercept, or log these connections.
• Photos and camera — images captured or selected are uploaded directly to your chosen server via SFTP. They are not sent to us.

Voice Command Translation

When you use voice commands, common phrases (e.g. "list files", "go to desktop") are translated on-device without any network request. For less common phrases, the transcribed text is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) for translation into a shell command. Only the transcribed text is sent — no device identifiers, credentials, or personal information are included. We do not store these requests.

Local Network Access

The App uses your local network to discover computers via mDNS / Bonjour. This is used solely to let you find servers on your Wi-Fi network without manually entering IP addresses. Network discovery data is not transmitted off your device.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI — used for voice command translation (text only, no personal data). See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Apple — for in-app purchases, speech recognition, and crash reporting (if enabled in your iOS settings).

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
